Machine Sewn with Watercolour Paint Wash on Calico
Jenny has always been interested in working with handicrafts and painting, but it has only been in recent years that she has followed a path using traditional handicrafts to develop objects of fine art. The skill she has gained making practical garments over many years, has allowed her to apply that skill, especially with knitting, embroidery, and machine sewing, in a way she never envisaged. Of course all of her recent art works have absolutely no practical use, but are so much fun and more challenging to create, than just making clothes, although that is sure to continue, keeping the family warm, clothed and happy. Nowadays the impractical art works demand her attention more than garment making.
